Doggy Day Care

The boys spent the day at the Doggy Day Care and Paw Spaw today. It was their first time there. We had them test it out, because next week we are going out of town and want to board them there. The place is much warmer than other places I've checked on (including the last place T was boarded at), and they get much more exercise and attention. During the weekdays, they are out playing with the day care crowd, all day long, except for an hour at lunch. On the weekends, they get at least 4 hours of exercise a day and T&F will be in the same kennel. So, next week, the dogs will be there for two weekdays and Saturday and Sunday. Fun for them....

The best part about this place, you can watch your dogs on their web cam! This was by far my favorite scene from today's adventures at Doggy Day Care:

Yes, that is T taking a dump on camera. My dogs have SO much class.

Here is what T&F are currently up to...

Four Months Old

F will be 4 moths old tomorrow... here are his measurements today:

Chest: 14.75"

Collar to Butt: 10"

Floor to Shoulder: 9"

Compared to the last time, 2-7-07, he has only grown 1.75" around his chest.. everything else is the same. Hmph.

They claim Bostons have a four month rule... which is that at four months old, you can double there weight to get a close estimate as to what their adult weight will be.

For T, this proved to be true, as he was 14-15 lbs then and now he is around 28-29lbs.

If this rule is true for F, he should be around 15-16lbs. A wee one. We'll see.

February Thaw

T&F went to the vet today for shots. F weighed 7.1 lbs! Every one is healthy.

Today the weather was gorgeous. Sunny, bright blue sky, slight breeze and a warm 65 degrees! We tried to take advantage of it by going to the dog park and later going on a walk with the dogs. We also spent the morning outside in the sun on our porch, and aired the house out with all the windows being opened! *sigh* tomorrow it is supposed to drizzle and the high for Monday is something like 47 degrees. Oh how I wish it were summer already!

Toilets of Asia

I got bored and decided to put this little album together. Keep in mind, I used EVERY SINGLE "toilet" that is shown. Using disgusting toilets was my idea of adventure when we were living in China. I think it had to do with my first experience with a squatty potty... I lost, the squatty potty won. From then on, I was determined to beat the Asian Toilet to a pulp. I think I succeeded.

*Warning, the following album contains pictures of "toilets" of foreign countries, in ALL their glory. I don't recommend eating while view these pictures.

Vomit

T puked on F's head tonight. It was DISGUSTING... and since no one else was here to share it with me (ahem .. B!), I thought I'd photograph the cleaning up. Don't worry, I wasn't shy about sharing close-ups of vomit on F's head.

Sun and Sand

We went to San Diego to visit friends over the weekend. I took a few pictures from the weekend ..

Getting away was good for us... except we saw how the other half lives! By other half, I mean people who live WITH OUT season changes. Gorgeous near 70 degree weather all weekend, with bright blue skies - in February.

*Sigh* Back at home, it IS 50 degrees, but there are no palm trees and quite the lack of foliage. I can't wait for summer.

Dogs are great. F stayed with friends (since he is so small and young) while T was boarded for the weekend and may have been a little freaked out by the whole experience, but he quickly recovered when our friends picked him up. He spent hours playing with their dog... he was completely tuckered out by the time we picked him up at 11pm!

Boy has F grown! We were only away for 2 days, but I swear I came home to a larger puppy! I can't wait for his measurements on Wednesday.
