We bought new computers! We bought new computers! *doing happy dance*
OK. I got that out of my system. Now for the explination.
Last week, after months of other various gliches, B's Tower-O-Power went kaput. He blames it on me ..... but I swear I had nothing to do with it.
For 1.5 years, we have each had our own computers. B was using his desktop (which he built after coming home from China) and I attached myself to his laptop which he received as a gift in 2002-ish.
Since the laptop was 5 years old.. it wasn't strong enough to run photoshop or store all my music for my ipod... so I used B's computer for that.
This morning, B purchased a brand new (already put together) desktop.. with a wicked 19" widescreen monitor might I add! But while he was at it ... he went ahead and picked up a new laptop for his life partner... Moi! I call it a kind gesture, he calls it a security feature. This way, I can load my music and photoshop onto the laptop and be completely self-sufficient... never having an excuse to munch on cookies or greasy pizza while typing away on B's keyboard again!
Oh and wait, it gets better.... we have Windows Vista. I have to admit, I was quite skeptical at first... but it comes with some pretty neat basics.
A new laptop also means a stronger lap top battery, which means I can type this from privacy of my very own bathroom throne.
And just and FYI: The cost of our two new computers today - combined - equals LESS than the cost of B's laptop in 2002! How outrageous is that?
