So, after last weeks rather difficult challenge... by difficult, I mean that those of you who are anti-social, like myself, had to stretch REAL FAR in order to try and find someone to photograph.. especially after competing with Sohobutterfly and her food court stalking photos! Seriously Soho.. if this were a competition, you'd win for those pictures - based on degree of difficulty AND the quality of your work. I thought I'd take it easy on ALL OF US this week.
My idea was to just keep it simple the first few weeks, sort of going through the auto functions on most cameras... (except for you fancy 5D owners) macro, portrait, landscape, action, etc. So this week, we are moving on to simple landscapes. We will do more, outdoor type shots later (including different landscapes, seasons, nature, etc.) but for now, I just want you to try and take a wide-ish shot of a landscape scene. Snowy and blustery, sunny and warm, urban or rural... I don't care. Just shoot it!
And here is where I post an old shot of mine as an example ..

This was taken along the 395 North in California. It is one of many shoe trees out here, though I believe that this one has been cut down recently.
If you don't know the PhotoPie Rules.... here they are:
- The picture has to be a new one, posted to your site on or after today's date.
- Make sure the picture is YOURS.
- When you post your pictures, remember to link to this site. If you don't link me, I wont link you ;)
- Leave a comment here, with a link to your post.
Have fun!

Ah, I think this one shall be easier. I shall do it! (Hopefully, I shall find the good camera first.)
I would just like to state, on the record, that Houston is CRAP for landscapes.
:)

Mine is up now too... HERE.
Thanks for the shout out, lady - you're makin' me blush. I really think there were many equally excellent submissions last week.
I'm sorry I never posted last week's challenge...I actually tried to take alot of portrait shots that weekend (they're up on Flickr) but I wasn't really happy with any of them. I definitely try to get this one in!
