or, What is the Opposite of a Sausage Fest?
In a few short weeks... two of my all-time favorite internet buddies and I will each make separate road trips from opposite ends of the Wild West so that we can meet in the middle in, let's face it, The Holy Grail of Photography Locations...... Fresno, California Baby. Oh yeah.
The purpose of the this trip: To meet up, hang out, and photograph. Photography anything. We are going to hunt out fun locations together and learn from each other. We'll lounge by the pool and geek it up with the free wi-fi in our hotel room so we can share are exciting times with you. Maybe throw in enjoying a good meal or two, lots of girl talk, make-up and some false-eyelashes or two... or six. Yeah, we are going to do up Fresno right!
The funny thing... I don't drive. I mean, I drive to work and back, but that is about it. Usually,
My point is, this trip is going to be interesting. Since the beginning of our relationship, we've only spent a handful of nights apart. More importantly, I haven't driven more the 15 minutes at a time since .. oh .. I was 19!? I take that back, I think I did drive 3 hours a few months ago. But that's it.
So girls, we need to make a pact... Let's all agree to NOT twitter via our cell phones while driving to or from Fresno. OK, I'll be reasonable, let's all agree to not twitter via our cell phones too frequently while driving to or from Fresno. Because if you do, I'll want to keep up .. and then I'll be driving and looking at my iphone, cursing my giant fingers after they press the incorrect letter yet again spelling "tits" instead of "tis" or what have you. And my driving? It ain't pretty when I'm paying attention... so imagine what it is like when I get all, "Oh... Stockton! I must tell people where I am ... because obviously ... they totally care!" But wait... I wont be driving through Stockton... I digress.
Ladies, I'm REALLY excited about meeting and hanging out next month. So excited, that I am renting the fisheye again. Watch out lensrentals.com. As soon as I pry the credit card from husband's chincy little fingers... I'm reserving that baby!

Wow Fresno is popular lately! Three ladies who have been twittering about ice cream all week must visit Caliche's Frozen Custard. Sounds disgusting but so yum. But most importantly: Have Fun in the 'no!

Fresno is going to be awesome! I'm considering renting a fisheye too. Actually... I'm renting it for a wedding in the middle of May. So I might as well buy it... considering how often I plan on renting it. We'll see... because just like you said, I'll have to pry the credit card away from my hubby too!

I'm pumped you guys are coming to Fresberg cuz you know, that's where I am. Maybe we could even all meet up for a bit? I promise I would be the best little tour guide! And as I pointed out on Twitter, I would be glad to show you where K-fed used to work, at the red carpet car wash! oh gosh. sad but true.
I totally get you on the whole driving thing. I do not enjoy driving much. One time John made me drive about half way home from Vegas (a 7 hour drive)-- I was freaking out and cursing up a storm.
Yeah, I don't suggest twittering while driving-- that would def be bad news!

Stephanie's right.. Caliche's (now known as Cali's...gay, IMO) is THE BEST. Yodigity isn't bad either... same concept, just with frozen yogurt.
Alsooo, Teazer (a cool little tea house in Tower District) is awesome. My current addiction!
